1938 a S-Bahn network was planned for Munich. 1938-1941 a station at Götheplatz and a tunnel length of 590 m were build. This section was partof the Nord-Süd - S-Bahn (Schwabinger Bahnhof - Odeonsplatz - Stachus - Sendlinger-Tor-Platz - Götheplatz - Südring) The picture shows the tunnel section between Götheplatz and Sendlinger Tor. The description "Raum 2" when the tunnel was used as a shelter during World War II and the planned overhead contact line for the S-Bahn can be seen left of the B-type train. The Munich type A cars are neartly identically to Nürnberg DT1 type cars. Therefore it is possible to run these trains on both systems. 03.1978-06.09.1978 the following type A2.1 cars were rent to Nürnberg: 6130/7130, 6131/7131, 6148/7148 28.10.1978-04.1979 cars 6128/7128, 6133/7133, 6134/7134 were rent to Nürnberg. The Munich U-Bahn is extended in the north to Garching. This section is part of the line U6. To offer a service to Garching some trains are procured by the town of Garching. The B2.8 trains can be easy recognized, because the have the sign of Garching instead of the "Münchner Kindl". Prototype car 6092 is preerved Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum, Munich. Car 6092 ( A1 type ) was build by MBB in 1967 as 6002 b. In 1967 the prototype were used to start test runs on 2 km length of line containing 3 stations. |

The remainings of an A-type car are preserved at Munich Feuerwehrmuseum. This car was destroyed during a fire on 05.09.1983 at a siging between Hauptbahnhof and Königsplatz. |
